ACE-Uganda is dedicated to advancing health outcomes through innovative High-Performance Computing (HPC), Bioinformatics, Visualization, and Data Science.
The center focuses on addressing critical health challenges, conducting groundbreaking research, and building capacity in data science and bioinformatics to support the next generation of scientists in Africa. Key areas of focus include Research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), human genomics, and cancer; providing advanced Training through MSc and PhD programs, internships, and short courses; operating a state-of-the-art 40-node High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster; and Visualization through driving advancements in health education and surgery at the ACE VR lab's innovative visualization technologies.
