Master of Science in Bioinformatics
Programme Duration: 2 years
Admission Requirements:
In addition to the General Admission Requirements of Makerere University, eligible candidates must have the following qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in Life sciences e.g. Human Medicine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Dental Surgery, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Cytotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical/Medical Laboratory Sciences, Environmental health, Veterinary Medicine, Zoology, or any other life science degree, OR
Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in Physical sciences e.g. Mathematics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Computer Science & IT, Physics or any other physical science degree. OR
Postgraduate Diploma in Bioinformatics
Tuition Fees:
Uganda and EA Students – UGX 6,625,000 per annum, International students – UGX 12,556,188 per annum.
Doctor of Philosophy in Bioinformatics
Programme Duration: 3 – 5 years

- Tuition Fees:
Uganda and EA Students – UGX 10,662,500 per annum, International students – UGX 16,337,730 per annum.
